Dental Program Mission Statement

At Help and Outreach Point of Entry (HOPE), our dental program is dedicated to reducing dental health disparities by expanding access to high-quality, compassionate dental care for individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship. We believe that early intervention and preventive services are essential to preventing severe infections and promoting overall health and well-being. Our mission is to ensure that every individual we serve has the opportunity to achieve and maintain a healthy smile—regardless of their circumstances.

 Dental Services Overview

Not Currently Established with a Dentist?
If you are not currently connected with a dental provider, you will be registered for our next Dental Screening Day. These screenings allow us to collaborate with our dental partners to identify urgent dental needs, schedule routine care, and coordinate specialized treatment as needed.

Experiencing a Dental Emergency?
If you are experiencing a dental emergency, you will be directed to walk-in services at Chesapeake Health Care in Princess Anne. If you are unable to access those services, assistance with scheduling may be available in certain situations—especially for individuals with visible swelling from a dental abscess or those recently seen at the ER or urgent care for dental issues.

Already Have a Treatment Plan?
If you’ve already been evaluated by a dentist and have a treatment plan or cost estimate, please bring the documentation to our office along with proof of income and insurance. This is required to complete your dental intake with our staff.
